Why are there two versions of Couric's interview with Valerie Plame?
Crooks and Liars has the aired version (without the references to Iran):

CBS has the web version on their site, as well as Rawstory, At-Largely, and others. This was sent around as a promo for the show. It has the Iran references.
(see the 2:12 video in the middle of the page "former covert agent speaks out".

My point in this post is to post in one place and share links to the two versions for those that may have missed the on-air version. It was startling to those of us who were waiting for the Iran part of the story. They did say at the end of the on-air version that viewers who went to the 60 Minutes website could find video that was not included in the broadcast. Did someone (Darth Dickie) get to them? Why promo Iran in the story and then yank it? Why did Darth Dickie out Valerie who could help keep Iran from the nukes, and then vow WWIII if Iran gets nukes (rhetorical question)?

3. Same reason that CBS sat on Abu Gharaib until after the 2004 election and the same
reason why they assisted in smearing Rather concerning Shrub's AWOL.

4. I think it's safe to say the loyal Bushies got to CBS
And told them not to run that part of the story. I look at this as real confirmation (although unspoken) that the Bushies are planning something for Iran.

5. Because CBS is part of the problem rather than the solution.
