Islands sinking

CNN just did a segment on their Planet in Peril thing. They focused on talking about the rising waters around New Guinea. Funny thing is the rising sea levels are a result of a history of the native people dynamiting the coral reefs as well as the fact that the island are remnants of volcanic activity. According to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, these are the two primary reasons the islands are "sinking".

Oh yeah...no mention of the sea level rising due to global warming. In fact, "global warming", "climate change", nor melting ice from the Arctic or Greenland were so much as whispered as being the possible cause of water level rising around these islands.

So, to sum it up according to CNN, the islands are being flooded due to sinking and there's no other possible explanation.
