Romney loses support of former Pres of South Carolina Baptist Convention....LINK
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 11:10 AM by Blackhatjack
Christian bookstores have extensive publications on the Southern Baptist Convention's view of Mormonism as a cult. Many have speculated that the Right Wing Conservative Fundamentalists who have supported Republicans would hold their noses and vote for Romney because of his 'conservative values.' However, this brief announcement indicating 'retraction' of Romney's endorsement by the former president of the S.C. Baptist Convention is evidence that Romney will likely fail to gain the support of this group.

Baptist Pastor Retracts Endorsement of Romney

Fox News | October 24, 2007 10:01 AM

The former president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention has retracted his endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The Romney campaign has agreed to withdraw all references to Pastor Don Wilton's endorsement of Romney, the Baptist Press reported on Tuesday.

1. Huckabees star is clearly on the rise
Romney is no longer a necessary evil to the people who are uncomfortable voting for a Mormon.

2. The guy could have endorsed Huckabee a long time ago--he didn't, and still hasn't.
That tells you something.

3. Yes it shows me that Huckabees star is on the rise
He was a no-hoper before and now he's a little bit hoper. Still a long shot but in the realm of possibility.

4. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Hypocrite Baptists.
