and half of Blackwater's proposed site burned. I can't find an article yet, but the broadcast on KUSI TV in San Diego included an interview with a firefighter who complained that the helicopter water drops were suspended during the time Air Force One was landing in San Diego and during Bush's helicopter tour this morning. Right at that time a water drop was ordered in Fallbrook but it wasn't done. How many homes were lost because of that decision? I do have a source for the traffic jam caused by Bush's motorcade:

http://www.10news.com/news/14407806/detail.htmlThe most recent permiter map of the Harris Fire to me indicates that the hillside on the west of Blackwater's proposed "Blackwater West" site in Potrero burned, but the that the large flat area that consitutes the bulk of the property served as a firebreak and the fire did not cross it. But the fire is burning to the east, so it might burn the hill on the east anyway. I have no way of verifying this at this time.
