Water drops suspended during Bush flights; motorcade causes traffic jam; Evacuees to be kicked out
and half of Blackwater's proposed site burned. I can't find an article yet, but the broadcast on KUSI TV in San Diego included an interview with a firefighter who complained that the helicopter water drops were suspended during the time Air Force One was landing in San Diego and during Bush's helicopter tour this morning. Right at that time a water drop was ordered in Fallbrook but it wasn't done. How many homes were lost because of that decision? I do have a source for the traffic jam caused by Bush's motorcade:

Here is a source for the statement that evacuees will be kicked out of Qualcomm Stadium at noon on Friday, to get the stadium ready for the Chargers game on Sunday:

The most recent permiter map of the Harris Fire to me indicates that the hillside on the west of Blackwater's proposed "Blackwater West" site in Potrero burned, but the that the large flat area that consitutes the bulk of the property served as a firebreak and the fire did not cross it. But the fire is burning to the east, so it might burn the hill on the east anyway. I have no way of verifying this at this time.

1. Seems Asshat's chopper
ruined a high school football field too, as I honestly don't think HS football fields are designed to be used as heliopads...

:grr:

4. To tell us what we already knew. The phone number for FEMA.
I don't see how it made one damn bit of difference to have the president here. That was all for him, not for us.

5. OK, now it's official. In addition to the incredible cost of transporting the Resident...
His vehicles and his posse to CA for a photo-op, more damage ensued because the fire-fighting had to be suspended because of security concerns.

Next time, send a check Jorge.
