Going to war. Letters from a WW2 soldier put to music.
Leggers sent by a grandfather to grandmother during WW2.

Matt Arbogast of Gunshy was interviewed on NPR this past week. He put some letters his grandfather wrote to his grandmother to music and recorded it.

Title: There's No Love in War

There's a story to the effort. It's touchingly about his grandmother who is/was still living when the album was completed (grandfather died at 39 from a war wound near heart. He did return to battle, return home, married, and raised a family ... until 39.

I am glad I heard the radio program before I listened to the music. But, it's not necessary.

Arbogast was nervous about her reaction to the music. It turned out well.

If you don't want to think about why we keep going to war - don't listen.

I think the music and concept is terrific.
