Fixed Noise Military Expert (yes, that Fixed Noise) Col. David Hunt writes the following in his column:
We know, with a 70 percent level of certainty — which is huge in the world of intelligence — that in August of 2007, bin Laden was in a convoy headed south from Tora Bora. We had his butt, on camera, on satellite. We were listening to his conversations. We had the world’s best hunters/killers — Seal Team 6 — nearby. We had the world class Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) coordinating with the CIA and other agencies. We had unmanned drones overhead with missiles on their wings; we had the best Air Force on the planet, begging to drop one on the terrorist. We had him in our sights; we had done it. Nice job again guys — now, pull the damn trigger.

Unbelievably, and in my opinion, criminally, we did not kill Usama bin Laden.

You cannot make this crap up; truth is always stranger and more telling than fiction. Our government, the current administration and yes, our military leaders included, failed to kill bin Laden for no other reason than incompetence.

No other reason? Surely, Colonel, you can think of some other reason why the Bush Crime Family would not want to kill Bin Laden.

For the record, this is the third time (that we know of) that Bin Laden has somehow slipped through our fingers. :wtf:

1. It was the Clenis....
the Clenis must have, in some mysterious fashion, interfered with the order to assassinate Bin Laden. What other explanation could there possibly be? We all know :sarcasm: that it's been the Clenis, since day 1, that has stood in the way of taking out Bin Laden.

Bad clenis! BAD CLENIS! :spank:

7. he's more valuable as a live boogieman
if Bin-laden is killed, then who will do the videos? The bushies and terror-cans will have to elevate a #2 guy to boogieman status, and I think they have already killed 5 or 6 #2's?

8. If they knew that at the time he was spotted,
someone had orders to not shoot. It really is just that simple.

Now, as to who gave that order, and why, and to whom that order is connected- that's the story.

I have no doubt at this point that bin Laden is being kept alive. I think we can all guess at reasons....

11. BartCop has long said that Bush doesn't WANT to catch Osama.
Bart's reasoning is thus: The only reason why there have been no terror attacks in the U.S. since 9/11 is because Bin Laden has CHOSEN not to attack us.

After all, all it would take to stage a major terrorist attack is for a suicide jihadist to steal a tanker truck and drive it into a school or a hospital or something similar. Al Quaeda doesn't even need to smuggle in a bomb, or make one, to do that and it would be sure to cause a huge amount of fear and mayhem. Bin Laden could order attacks like that every day of the week until he ran out of sleeper 'suiciders' and there's nothing anyone could do to stop him.

So, if it's so easy, why HASN'T Bin Laden ordered a string of such attacks?

Because he has a deal with Bush not to. The deal is that, so long as Bin Laden doesn't stage terror attacks inside the U.S., Bush won't really try to catch him.

So long as there is no terrorist attack on our soil, Bush (and the MSM) can go on pretending that his anti-terror actions are working, so Congress should back off and let him make omlets. An attack -- a single attack -- would take away the only argument Bush has left: that he has been "keeping us safe" since 9/11.

Bart points out that there is no other possible reason why:
(A) We haven't caught a sick dialysis patient after five years of looking for him, and

(B) Why there has not been a terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11.

As usual, BartCop's perceptions make sense. No other scenario that I can think of does.
