Norway: Churchmobile makes it possible for immigrant to move outdoors

This «church» will carry immigrant

The seeker of political asylum, Shahla Valadi, must be carried around in a «mobile church» to a demonstration. - We can't guarantee for her safety, says TV-pastor Egil Svartdahl.

Shahla Valadi has spent seven years in a 'church asylum' in Mysen.

Thursday, she will be carried to a demonstration in Oslo in a van rebuilt as a church, to avoid being arrested and sent out of the country.

The Iranian-Kurdish woman does not have a legal permit to stay in Norway. The police does not arrest immigrants seeking refuge in churches.
(...)
The demonstration is in honor of Valadi, who is the longest-sitting asylum seeker in a church in Norway.

- We can't guarantee for her safety, says Svartdahl to aftenposten.no.

2. Yeah
I just wanted to share that strange story and picture, so I translated only the juicy parts. This story has an happy ending now, I heard on the radio on my way home that her case is being retried in the dept., so she won't have to use that churchmobile ;-)
