Tweety is showing his true colors now
He's ripping Hillary on Hardball. His attitude is openly contemptuous; he is literally spitting out the words. He called her a fraud, and is demanding that his guest agree that Bill will be an embarrassment. He's calling her staff "flacks". He is angry and spitting. The fact that Bill and Hillary are apparently choosing to keep some of their papers secret is a grave sin worthy of
scorn. However, I don't remember him every getting openly angry about chimp keeping his papers secret. To rip her for THAT, in such an extreme fashion, after enduring the most secretive administration in history shows tweety's true colors.

Now he's going to a commercial and openly admitting that he's tearing into Hillary because she's inevitable. So this is just a preview, folks. The corporate media has decided she's won, or soon will, and the swiftboating will proceed.

Then he gets all bent out of shape when people call him on his trashing of the Clintons. Well, duh.

74. The source mentioned
does not say that Mr. Matthews' dislike of Senator Clinton or her husband is due to hard feelings from being turned down for a position in the Clinton administration. It is possible for someone to believe that the Clintons are not representative of the best in the democratic party, and that Senator Clinton is not the best candidate in the primary contest, and not be holding a long-standing grudge, or be an enemy of the democratic party.

79. I agree it's possible, but not from Tweety. His grudges certainly don't stem
from the fact that she is not progressive enough for him! rather it's a continuation of his rabid anti-Clinton crusade. I myself am not a Clinton suporter - didn't vote for her for senate. yet my reasons and Tweety's are as different as they come.

4. Truth in advertising -- we just want to KNOW what she's really all about
Not HER version of what she WANTS us to think (or what Bill wants us to think). I actually agree with Tweety -- if we're going to be "stuck" with her as the nominee, don't we deserve to know what we're getting (and the potential mud that will be thrown)?

I'm really concerned that Sally Bedell Smith just said Bill Clinton is fond of secrecy, and that Hillary likes to be the "hidden hand." Hasn't our nation had enough of secrecy and "power behind the throne"?

The whole reason the media has been nice to HRC so far is to ensure that she wins the Democratic nomination.

Now that that is regarded as inevitable, the gloves are coming off.
It's about delivering the election to the Mitt or the Ghoul.

59. It was in Blumenthal's book - here's an article mentioning it:
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9404E1DA123EF93AA25756C0A9659C8B63
In his book, Mr. Blumenthal writes that Mr. Matthews wanted a job in the administration and ''lobbied the White House'' to succeed Dee Dee Myers as press secretary, ''but the job had gone to Michael McCurry.''

Mr. Blumenthal goes on to say that Mr. Matthews then ''turned into a detractor of Clinton,'' though he draws no direct connection to the supposed failed job hunt. He also writes that Mr. Matthews told friends that his tough position on Mr. Clinton had bolstered his Nielsen ratings.

and Edwards' haircut ... Up until now, he's been crowing about HRC's inevitability along with all the rest.

What Tweety loves is the horse race -- he doesn't want this thing to be all decided early on, and for that, I agree with him. Considering all the good candidates we have, it's disconcerting that this early on, the Rethugs' race may be more "up for grabs" than the Dems. Let's have us an ELECTION, not a CORONATION -- that's what Tweety's looking for, and I agree with him.

50. My note to MSNBC
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 07:20 PM by monmouth
With the exception of Keith Olbermann, MSNBC pundits have become unwatchable. Let's start with the snarky Scarborough who fancies himself as a pundit. I've gone to the radio, can't stand him. God I miss Imus, then the insipid Tucker with his shrill nonsensical buffoonery. Depending on which way the wind is blowing and whether or not the moon is full, along comes Matthews. I found his remarks against the Democratic candidate, Senator Hillary Clinton to not only be absurd and downright nasty and shrill, but he is starting to sound a little deranged.. I realize the Clintons passed him over (I can certainly understand their prudent call on this) for Press Secretary or whatever position he wanted with them, but tonights evisceration was totally over the top and uncalled for. I find MSNBC a mouthpiece for the WH and that is a shame. Getting rid of Scarborough, Carlson and moving Matthews to noon might be a big improvement. I don't watch TV at noon..... Shame on you MSNBC, I had higher hopes for you.

58. Yeah he hates the Clintons more than Kerry
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 07:52 PM by Generator
and that's saying something. He did this spitting rage thing at him and TERESA too. Also giving oceans of time to the swiftboaters. That's why I stopped watching him. I find any defense of him ever foolhardy at best. He truly disgusts me-he prob was a Democrat once. The Tuckers Hannity's et all are fascists. Matthews just enables them-good cop one day-evil fucking right wing propagandist the next.

64. Wow someone actually has the guts to run something other than a Clinton puff piece? Kudos to Tweety!
We need to know the complete picture on all the candidates and Clinton ought not to be an exception.

67. Remembering how Tweety gushed over * in a flight suit.
All Hillary has to do is wear a cod piece and Tweety will fall in love with her too.

72. He's OBSESSED with this Bill Clinton "embarrassment" idea.
He seems to bring it up whenever he can. Does the man not know how to read polls?

BC was and still is FAR more popular than Commander Smirky.

77. Of course he is.
Not only that, tweets himself has done segments about how bill is a plus for hillary. That just goes to show that he is FAKING it, or a fraud as he likes to call hillary now.

76. why do you watch that firght win shill?
He is consistently void of ideas or valid comments. His worst sin as far as I can tell is that he is not in the least bit entertaining or informative. He is merely another conduit for right wing talking points. avoid the middle man and go to a GOP web site. Watch QVC or the shopping network or some similar cable outlet. the above also applies to Russert, O'Reilly, Hannity, et al.

80. Why does he consider Bill an embarrassment, when many of the Republican
candidates themselves have had adulterous affairs. Why isn't McCain an embarrassment? Why isn't Giuliani? For Christ's sake, he even married his cousin!
