Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s daughter was arrested on drunken driving charges Monday night in Wheaton, police said.

Ann S. Banaszewski, a Wheaton resident, was arrested Monday around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Gamon Road and Longfellow Drive after someone reported seeing a possible drunken driver near the McDonald’s at 2030 S. Naperville Road, according to a police press release.

Banaszewski’s three children were also in the car, a 1996 Ford Ecoline van. At her request, the children were dropped off by police at a family friend’s home, Wheaton Deputy Police Chief Tom Meloni said.

In addition to the drunken driving charge, Banaszewski was charged with endangering the life of a child. She was processed on both charges at the Wheaton Police Department and was released on a recognizance bond.

1. Oh shit! That looks like it'll be a felony.
Of course, I think Limbaugh's drug charges were too so that shows how meaningful that is for the upper crust. I hope they don't give her special treatment.

3. No problem. She can still enlist.
Military grants more waivers to recruits
WASHINGTON - The Army and Marine Corps are letting in more recruits with criminal records, including some with felony convictions, reflecting the increased pressure of five years of war and its mounting casualties.

2. Take her kids away from her and send her
to jail or drug rehab. Take her license away.
Take away her right to vote
Put the kids in a series of foster homes.

That's what you do to others who take drugs or drive drunk.

Equal opportunity.

4. This is the third time this thread popped up today, and I confess,
that each time I hoped it was a different daughter.

8. I'm being crotchety.
I was suggesting that no personal misfortune of Scalia's is too small. I have no clue how many daughters or sons he has. Just implying that the man is a nasty piece of work and he deserves to get back some of the misery he's instilled in others.

6. Nothing on the news. Remember
when Gore's son was caught and he was not but a little over the limit. They ran the story for about two weeks. And look at the non-stop story about the Kennedy guy....NOTHING ON THE NEWS ABOUT THIS.

Some guy in one of the southern states, had his son and nephew in a car and he was drunk. This guy was charged with child abuse and was jailed and released on bond. The news made a big big to do.

NOTHING ON THE NEWS ABOUT SCALIA'S DAUGHTER.....

9. Don't Forget Bill Janklow
Former Repugnican Governor/Congresscritter who had to resign after he killed someone while drunk driving. All he got for it was probabion. What a joke.

There are some here who think picking on Scalia's daughter is a cheap shot. I agree. But when she gets in a car drunk with children...putting all lives (including those of other drivers and pedestrians) in danger, she deserves all the scorn and ridicule she can get. Yep...if this were someone without a famous father or connections or money, they'd be in a cell, the kids would be in DFS (Family Services) custody and she would have her driving privilidges immediately suspended. If this were a Democrat, then add all the corporate media glee with "catching a Democrat".

The media hypocrisy is how Democrats are perceived as "immoral" and thus any time one of ours gets in trouble, it's "vindication" of our lifestyle. Whereas when a Repugnican gets in trouble, it's an "isolated incident" or a "personal matter" or "leave our private lives alone".

Before the election, there was an email of all the Repugnicans who had been arrested over the past 4 years. The list was several pages long. Family Values? They think its a drug store chain in Nebraska.
