Fraternity brothers and sorority sisters check in!
I read a lot of posts bashing Greek Life- saying fraternity brothers are all republicans and closet homosexuals.

Some people forget that there are plenty of democrats out there who were or are currently active members of fraternities and sororities.

I'm hoping I'm not alone here... fraternity brothers and sorority sisters check in!

I'll start:

Phi Delta Theta.

2. I just got back from a weekend with my Fraternity brothers
And their wives.

I look at all those who were not part of the greek system in college. As an alumni, I am still involved with most of those I went to school and network with many that are older and younger than I.
Wouldn't have missed it for anything.

Tau Kappa Epsilon

13. I just went to my homecoming two weeks ago.
It was great to see all of my brothers.

And you're exactly right about the multi-generational brotherhood that fraternity membership fosters.

23. Hear any good nicknames lately?
Back at OSU the Tri Delts always had the best slams and nicknames on their letters.

"If you can't get a date, tri delt"

Triple Nipples

and of course the ubiquitous "Delta Delta Delta can I help ya help ya help ya!"

:D

9. Sigma Sigma Sigma....
not your typical sorority girls, back in the day at Slippery Rock University (yes, there is a Slippery Rock University, where I have my under-grad from). We were a very eclectic group of friends, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Not really a fraternity or a sorority.

I was a nerd in high school.

A Math nerd, more precisely.

Mu Alhpa Theta = MATH Club.

At my undergrad, one of the Frats moved out of their old house into a new one, and the non-Greeks that moved into the house as renters changed it into the I Tappa Kegga house.

19. Thanks for all your responses.
The next time someone mouths off about greeks I'll link them to this thread.

Also- I don't know what the tradition was at all your schools but at mine it was impolite to say "frat" versus "fraternity". The old adage was "Do you call your country your cunt?"

Again, thanks all.

32. Maybe.
I wonder if another sorority will adopt me? Knew that Patricia Heaton was a DG, just discovered that - gasp, gasp - so was Ann Coulter. The horror, the horror. Seriously, I'm horrified.
