Seems to me that would have been a very appropriate thing to do.

2. I've always thought if Mukasey didn't know the techniques
then somebody could perform waterboarding on Mukasey. Maybe then Mukasey would understand torture.

4. It's a humane and efficient way of obtaining information from someone being questioned.
So it stands to reason that the Senate should waterboard judicial nominations to make sure they're getting the complete truth.

3. Although I'm not happy with his confirmation
Although I'm not happy with his confirmation, I think maybe a better way to deal with this is for Congress to outlaw it as part of law. We should not waste our energy on the confirmation anymore, but pass a law that outlaws it specifically, and while we are at it, outlaw a few other techniques as well. Just a thought.

10. Excuse my vulgarity but Congress
is too busy bending over and shaking their asses in the air begging George Bush to dry-fuck them. That is what it has come down to. There is ZERO opposition to these fascists in the White House. Lots of investigations that lead nowhere and no concrete action. Congress caves and caves and then caves again. In the past 7 horrible years Bush has basically gotten everything he asked for.

9. Or even ask him why the USA prosecuted persons from WW II for that very thing
Or if we would get upset if US diplomats were to be waterboarded by Iraqis...Would that cause a national stir?
