1. Sometimes you feel...
...like a Bernanke, sometimes ya don't.

Makes sense though. The guy is working for a bunch of squirrels.

2. Nobody wearing a bowtie like that has room to call anyone a nut.

Did say one good thing, though--Bernanke's a gov't employee cuz he couldn't get a real job (or something to that effect).

3. A Nut?
I doubt he's a nut. But he is certainly part of the cabal that is trying to "fake" this economy on.

I think the big story is that this economy is a mess and going down, and they are actually trying to hide it.

For what reason?

Why?

Eventually the truth will come out.

ANd yet,,,, they are buying time.

I don't think they can keep faking it for mare than 6 months...

What happens then?

4. Buys time
for the big players to unload bad assets so the dumb little guys (read: us) will be holding the bag when they cut the strings.

But I'd guess there is more to it.

I foresee a surprise.

8. Well, I've noticed
a fresh round of Social Security scaremongering has begun. Maybe it's a last play for the motherlode Wall Street has been salivating for. If the wheels truly come off the economy, the public's hold on SS will be intractable. The opportunity will be lost, perhaps for a loooong time, as American attitudes to public works, investment, and relief will take a wrenching readjustment when they're enduring privation not seen in generations.

10. I wish they'd just leave Wall Street Alone
The more Bush sticks his big fat nose into it, the bigger the "correction" is going to be.

5. They are gaming the system as never before. In the past , recessions
happened & life when on. This time they didn't let it happen, kind of like putting a cork up the rectum, it isn't going to solve any problems but make them worse later on.

11. I liked his last statement
"If I were Bernanke I would abolish the Fed and resign. It would be the best thing for the country."

13. It appears to me that he's just calling the Gov on its Bullsh*t.
He's calling phony numbers out. YOu would think that the "money people" would be interested in some real numbers... Or maybe they're only interested in real numbers that no one else has access to.
