Hill's FLIP-FLOPS stubbing her toes
New York Post
By BRENDAN SCOTT

November 4, 2007 -- Even if being seen as weak on border security doesn't threaten Hillary Rodham Clinton's lead in early primary states, a reputation as just another flip-flopping Washington politician could, political observers in Iowa and New Hampshire said.

Sen. Clinton's nationally televised waffling on whether illegal immigrants should get driver's licenses exposes a key weakness in the two campaign states, where voters expect candidates to give it to them straight, local observers say.

"It just adds to the image she has of being very calculating politically and trying to play the middle on various issues," said Iowa Democrat John Norris, a supporter of Barack Obama who led Sen. John Kerry's 2004 campaign in the state. "That doesn't easily sell well among Iowa caucus goers."

"It certainly makes it harder for her to sell herself as someone who's going to change the politics of Washington when here's another example of exactly the kind of politics people are tired of," he added.

4. Hmmm...how are they wrong in this case?
Or do you somehow feel your attack of the source is sufficient?

3. Yet another reason the Repug Noise Machine will destroy her in the general election
I swear, the woman is preternaturally incapable of answering a straightforward question. Get ready for endless video montages of Hillary triangulating, hedging and shading the truth.

7. The problem is that Hillary is still running her campaign in 1992
Without blogs, google and youtube, Hillary would likely coast to victory. But these days, anybody who's interested can look up and compare her statements. This leads to very quick dissemination of any gaffe she makes. And someone who has no core principles, who is willing to say anything to get elected, will find it very hard to keep her statements consistent enough to survive scrutiny by millions of netizens.

6. So, are we supposed to be swayed by the ravings of a wingnut scandal sheet?
This NY Post article is nothing but wingnut propaganda against Hillary, not ojective fact.

So discounting it is not like what Freepers do -- ignore any unpleasant FACT that comes from an unfriendly source. This article has NOTHING to do with fact. It is nothing but vicious, vile, underhanded, character assassinatibg raving from the wingnut media, and anybody who buys into it must be half wingnut himself.

8. As bad as the rumor/gossip mill is, HRC is not helping herself.
But the problem of politicians avoiding taking hard stands on issues (i.e. immigration) is real and not just for HRC. Al Gore got it too late (even though he actually won the 2000 election) - BE YOURSELF HRC - TAKE A POSITION AND DEFEND IT!
