I'm asking Why, but does anyone know WHAT Gore is up too?

Newspeople ask the question in every way possible: "I know you're not gonna run, but..." and Al Gore still gives the same answer: "I have no plans to be a candidate myself".

WHY does he give that exact answer every time no matter what the lead question? WHY?

There have been plenty of bones thrown where a different answer would have been easier. Even in the above case (taken from his interview on the "Today Show"), all he had to do was agree:

QUESTION: "I know you're not gonna run, but..."
ANSWER: "You are absolutely right, I am NOT going to run."

So, WHY make it a point to respond the same way each time? WHY has Gore done nothing to stop DraftGore and other movements? WHY am I asking why so much?

It looks like Al is setting the stage for something enormous, but does anyone really know WHAT the HELL he's up to????

I just have a feeling he's following a chosen course of action, but to what end? I still can't figure it out.

Gore has managed to operate on his own terms, enjoying completely positive media coverage and getting out his message in whatever way he chooses ~ but I don't know what the end game might look like. In any case, there's only so much time left so we'll have to find out soon!

4. Perhaps he's learned to stop sending mixed signals...

...and figures that after he repeats, "I have no plans to be a candidate," that most of us will finally take him at his word.

I would like nothing better than to twist those words into "I'm going to run," but that's just my wishful thinking.
