Selective Outrage from the Right has reached a new level in stupidity
The soldiers over in Iraq deal with the worst stuff, dead friends, limbs being blown off, civilians getting killed. It's not like a video game, people.

Anyway, Don Wildmon and the Anti-Family Association are concerned over with what the troops see, no, not with what they see on the battlefield, but with what they see in magazines. As in adult magazines.

How does someone like Wildmon even rationalize his kind of thinking?

3. I am incredibly impressed with those on the right
Everyday they sink further and further to new levels of idiocy. They've been doing it for years and years. Just a fantastic achievement.

donny wants our boys (and girls) to get their heads blown off, killed, lose limbs, die for the lie of a "christian" and yet he doesn't want them reading Penthouse letters and jacking off. Yeah, you go donnie. You take your conservative values straight to hell where they originated and will eventually end up again.

7. Our map instructor told us to tear out the "uninteresting pages" to use as rulers.
Considering that every "good marine" had at least one "skivvy book" in his pack.

8. I'm a Methodist, and Rev. Wildmon
would be of far better use working for "Nothing But Nets", the UNICEF program co-sponsored by the United Methodists, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the NBA, and many others. Google it up.

9. Yeah, so why can't Democrats make hay out of this stuff?
Edited on Mon Nov-05-07 03:57 PM by Tactical Progressive
Why aren't there leftist pundits interjecting and asiding things like this into their on-air discussions, like right-wingers do in their own little stinkfest rhetoric, most of which bs they've just fabricated in their own minds to begin with?

Like - 'While our men and women are enduring war and carnage and dealing with their own mortality halfway around the world, we've got right-wing eee-van-jellical groups out there more concerned with stopping them from reading girly magazines than what they're going through. This is just one of the things that needs changing in this next election. We are trusting people who put their own purient moralities above everything else, the ones who got us into this war, to run things, and now that it is dragging out the only thing they care about is enforcing their absurd set of values. Responsible leadership in Iraq won't come until we have responsible leadership in Washington.'

Over and over and over and over until the right-wing and their actions and dearth of real values is seen as the proper insanity that it truly is. Over and over and over. And not just on stuff like this, but real issues too. If we were four years into a war started and run by a Dem President and Congress, and the troops still didn't have enough body and personal armor, can you imagine a single Publican blabber that wouldn't mention it, and by that I mean accuse Dems with it, in every single conversation, even one about Daylight Savings Time? I can't.

Why can't Dems get down into it?

12. They can...they just won't
Dems are too busy wanting to take "the high road". That's bullcrap. We need to get down and dirty to take out these scumbags.

11. Those morons think they need to censor the behavior of everyone
Soldiers can put their lives on the line for the nation, but they can't even look at some nudie mags. :wtf: is up with that? Don Wildmon and the rest of his fundaloon counterparts need to focus on their own business and stay the heck out of everybody else's.

I used to have the latest High Society inside my log-book while doing armory duty.

Don might want to insure his house against errant artillery fire.
