Lynne Cheney Visits Exclusive Dallas Country Club That Has Long Record Of Racial Discrimination
Last Friday, around the time her husband was giving a speech in Dallas, Lynne Cheney “made a visit to the Dallas Country Club for a signing event to promote her new memoir, Blue Skies, No Fences.” The club, which was founded in 1896, is a “haven for whites” and bills itself as a “traditional,” “family oriented social club.”

It also didn’t have any African-American members until at least as recently as June 2007.

3. The Cheneys stopped pretending they weren't racists long ago..
Dicky Vader attended a "hunting club" in New York last week that kept a Confederate Battle Flag on prominent display. There is only one reason that I can think of that anybody in New York would display such a flag. When asked about it, Vader essentially said so the fuck what.

4. You know white men like that are funny, they are deeply rooted in their prejudices
obviously learned from early on but they have no problem, these same white men that look down on those of different racial ethnicity, that is believing women of color to be used, I don't know how else to say it without sounding more vulgar, vulgar it is but try listening to one of them sometimes, wow, I can only say there are many forms of mental illness in this world, not all have official names yet.

6. The Dallas Country Club (DCC) "rocked" the night JFK was assassinated.
An old friend and neighbor in Dallas, a true-blue Democrat, was a member of that Highland Park club. He was not there that night (he was at a Mass for JFK), but he heard all about the wild party. He quit the DCC shortly thereafter.

Ironically, Brooks once lived on Beverly, a short walk from the DCC. In the 1990s he retired and scaled down to a smaller house on the south side of Highland Park. That house was across the street from mine, and right next door to a still-frequent social stop of Lynn Cheney's.

8. I think he high-tailed it back to Houston after tipping off the FBI.
Poppy probably partied at the Petroleum Club or River Oaks Country Club in Houston. WASP parties were easy to find all over the south on 11/22/1963.
