Geez... this has got to be the worst sketch ever...


TIKI ISLAND, Texas - Residents held a memorial service for "Baby Grace," a young girl whose remains were discovered inside a storage box that washed ashore on Galveston Bay.

The toddler, found by a fisherman a week ago, remains unidentified despite hundreds of tips that have come from around the country since authorities released sketches of her on Friday. Authorities said forensic dental examination narrowed the girl's age to between 2 and 3 years.

1. I feel bad for the little girl and I hope she is identified. How terrible!
I hope this wasn't foul play. :(

But I will say that sketch looks like a doll that would come to life and kill you in your sleep. :scared:

3. It looks like bad B-movie caveman makeup from the 50's.
Apparently Texas needs to hire a better sketch artist.

I bet she's one of Jeb's missing orphans.

5. Foul play? She was discovered crammed into a tool box that was
floating in the bay iirc. I think you could take it to the bank it was foul play. The fact that no family members have come forward reeks, too.

15. And the fact that, apparently, no one has reported her missing
reeks, also. I think it's a sure bet that there's foul play in this one. I hope they find the monsters who did this.

16. Believe it or not, the local news (near Galveston) speculated
tonight that she might be Maddy McColl (sp?), the little girl missing in Portugal. I thought that a bit of a stretch.

Not to take away the seriousness of this story, but that is a very bad sketch. Looks like a Mattel reject doll. Hey, at this pace, ole Mattel might just go out of business. You can be sure they are not looking forward to Christmas this year. No parent will be buying their toys.

9. I think they showed the mouth open on purpose. One description
I read mentioned that she had spaces between her teeth.

18. if you go to the Doe Network,it's pretty typical
It is difficult at best for a forensic artist to recreate a face from decomposed remains.

11. I thought the EXACT same thing when I saw it on the TV news last night -
then I wondered, maybe the particular girl actually looked like that? And then I realized, no, it's just some BAD art.

17. The little girl had SKULL FRACTURES!
Consider this horrifying idea: It is possible that her face was beaten up, and that it was difficult to tell what her face normally looked like.

I work with a group that tries to match the unidentified with missing persons. I have seen some really terrible sketches. But, 9 times out of 10, if the Doe is identified, they do indeed look very much like the forensic artist's work.
