Contact MSNBC, tell them to hire RACHEL MADDOW!
Based on some recent posts on DU, I've heard that MSNBC is looking to hire a new host for the 9pm slot. There was also a rumor in another DU post about Tucker being cancelled.

If you would like to see Rachel Maddow get her own program on MSNBC, this is a good time to contact them! I've been watching Rachel on MSNBC these past few months, and she's been amazing! She's poised, articulate, thoughtful, funny, quick on her feet, very smart, and has a good tv presence. She's a class act! Best of all, she makes us progressives look really good! :D

If you feel the same way, please email MSNBC at viewerservices@msnbc.com
If someone has Dan Abrams email, please post it here so we can Cc him on our emails to MSNBC.

BTW, I am not associated in any way with Rachel Maddow. I've only heard her a few times on radio, and didn't really pay much attention to her till she started appearing on MSNBC.

Good job, Rachel! We're proud of you! :applause:

Now, if Rachel gets a show on MSNBC and has to leave AAR, we can start a campaign to get Sam Seder in her timeslot (his old timeslot!). Win Win!

Please K&R so many people see this post and send their messages to MSNBC.

2. Rachel is too blatantly "left."
They want a fake, semi-lefty. Someone who will generally appear left, but not so much as to turn off advertisers. Olberman is a special case...he grew more left as the situation in America deteriorated, and his fan base built along with him. Read the right-wing blogs and forums; KO is now considered farther to the left than any human on earth, according to them. I don't see GE giving more air time to the people trying to undercut their war profiteering efforts.

5. it's worth trying
GE cares about money. KO is making them lot of money. They need a host that will make them money.

The country is fed up with conservatives. They don't need another Tucker or Scarborough.

8. Rachael would be great, and she's said she'd love the job
Rosie is more info-tainment, while Rachael has a doctorate in Political Science. She's one of the more intelligent voices on the radio, and she's entertaining and funny, too!

9. Awesome idea!!
I used to listen to her on AAR on the way to work in the morning. I really miss her. She does appear regularly on MSNBC and I think she would be much better than Rosie. But, that's just my opinion.

10. Done. Felt good talking her up.
I've been a fan since the first chance I had to hear her on Unfiltered. She'd be an outstanding choice.

12. Better than what, if you haven't seen her on TV?
I don't understand. I've seen her on Olbermann, and she does an awesome job on TV.
