Republicons Think They're Being So Smart But The Joke May Be On Them

Yeah, the yea votes are rolling in from that side of the aisle. Very Rovian of them trying to position themselves for a win/win. Embarrass the dems or force them to defend Cheney.

But the joke may backfire. The country hates Cheney and they don't seem to realize how much. Now there will be a debate with the crimes of Cheney highlighted.

Game on.

If the republicons had thought about this for more than 5 sec and hadn't been so thrilled to play gotcha they'd realize that if this goes forward (which I pray it does) the nightly news will be filled with sound bites about Cheney's crimes. They also forget that it isn't just dems who want him out of there. Conservatives groups headed by the likes of Bruce Fein are wanting him impeached.
