So are the Dems up to the task of investigating Darth/Torquemada Cheney?

Did the repugs see a chance to make the Dems blink by shoving this issue before the people? The Dems were trying to vote it down at the time but the repugs pushed it onto the floor. They have to be thinking that is the Dems are not pushing full force for this that they don't have the balls to pull it off.

And now its become an issue of pride. We have the evil one in our sites. If the Dems can't pull this off and take him down then they will lose face like crazy. And they have to overcome the resistance of the repugs too boot. They have to get all the Dems in line on this.

So the question is.... can they do it? Can they bring Cheney down?

Hours of congressional investigations.

This should be one of the shortest investigations in our history. It'd be more like re-arranging than investigating.

I don't believe he has no will do this this. Imho, he was asked not to do it by the portion of the leadership who is minding the 2008 election, i.e., the Clinton campaign. Mr. Conyers is a team player but he's not a sellout. I believe his will is with us.

We have to keep working.

8. That is what I hope as well

But I have seen no evidence of coherent movement that was not directed by the DLC or Corporate interests coming from the Dems. Kuccinich seems to be the only one that has a spine. This entire situation just smacks of looking disaster. It literally is necessary for the Dems to get out and truly fight or they are going to take it in the face. Hard.
