Posted February 15, 2007

A paid FBI informant was the man behind a neo-Nazi march through the streets of Parramore that stirred up anxiety in Orlando's black community and fears of racial unrest that triggered a major police mobilization.

That revelation came Wednesday in an unrelated federal court hearing and has prompted outrage from black leaders, some of whom demanded an investigation into whether the February 2006 march was, itself, an event staged by law-enforcement agencies...

...Questioned about Gletty's role in the march, Farrington testified that "he participated in it. He did not organize it. . . . pretty good firsthand information, sir."

The city parade permit, however, lists Gletty as the "on scene event manager." ...

... On another Web site, Gletty details his role in organizing the Orlando event and hosting a victory party afterward.

"On 1/17/06 I got the permits and started the ball rolling," he writes. "On 2/25/06 at 3 pm on saturday in downtown Orlando My crew and I got it done."

3. So the FBI is encouraging the KKK
Why does this not surprise me. Maybe the Grand Wizard should take the post that J Edgar Hoover vacated. They both like to wear long dresses.

4. That's nothing. You should have seen what they did during Nam
protests.

They were agents provocateur who started violence, burned shit down, made the peace movement look like anarchists. They were always the ones who got out on bail really quick, had no job, but were self sufficient for unexplained reasons, etc.

Your government dollars at work

6. Rabbi Michael Lerner's story...
"At one point in my life I thought that real conspiracies were a left-wing fantasy, and that sophisticated Marxists and other social theorists would not have reason to want to acknowledge the existence of such conspiracies against the Left or against anyone else. But when I was indicted for "conspiracy and using the facilities of interstate commerce with the intent of inciting to riot" (as one of the Seattle Seven federal conspiracy trial in 1970 arising from a large demonstration against the Vietnam war and in support of Black liberation which I had organized and which turned violent when police attacked the demonstrators) I quickly learned that my organization (the Seattle Liberation Front) was totally infiltrated by police agents.

Indeed, many of those most vociferous in denouncing me and other leaders for being "too timid" were actually paid FBI informants or members of various law enforcement agencies. When one such changed his mind and began to reveal his story of having been solicited by the FBI to try to engage us in violence that would have led to some of us being killed, I really "got" that conspiracies do sometimes happen--paid for by the U.S. government." - Rabbi Michael Lerner, in 9/11 & American Empire Vol. II, Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out, draft. (emphasis added)

7. probably the single most important thing activists should learn now:
(especially the young and inexperienced ones - i take it an organisation such as IVAW knows exactly what the game is)
that their organization, if even remotely effective, *will* be targeted by govt agencies for subversion and provocation. Not knowing that is a great handicap and will cause much effort to be for nothing.
