Senator Ensign's Nephew Arrested, Charged With Attempted Murder

Senator John Ensign's nephew is under arrest and charged with attempted murder.

Eric Ensign, 23, is accused of trying to run over emergency medical personnel with his truck.

Police say he also rammed into a fire truck.

The incident happened this morning at Buffalo and Washington.

The Action News Hawk caught the scene from the air.

Police say medical personnel were there responding to an emergency call just before the incident.

Eric Ensign is facing attempted murder charges.

Action News called Senator John Ensign's office.

They say it is a private family matter and the Senator has no comment.

4. "Private family matters" don't usually involve cops, news copters and rammed ambulances
Just sayin'.

7. I think he is Chair -
of the Senate Repub organization (Senator Schumer's counterpart) that is supposed to raise money to elect new Repub senate members - Senator L. Dole's old job that she did so poorly in 2006.

12. I think Ensign's a putz, but this isn't a kid HE raised. It might say something about
the family in which he and his brother were raised, but it might not, either.

Every family has at least one bad actor.

Now, if this were his kid, I'd be on the WTF bus a bit faster...
