Kucinich Letter To Judiciary Chairman Conyers: The Vice President Is Repeating Deceptive Tactics In Run Up To War With Iran

Washington, Nov 9 - Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) sent the following letter to Congressman John Conyers (D-MI), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee today:

November 9, 2007

The Honorable John Conyers, Jr.
Chairman
Committee on the Judiciary
2138 Rayburn HOB
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Chairman Conyers

I am writing in support of H. Res. 799, the Articles of Impeachment which were referred to the committee relative to the Impeachment of the Vice President of the United States of America.

Recent reports indicate that the Vice President is attempting to shape the National Intelligence Estimate on Iran to conform to his misperceptions about the threat Iran actually poses. Much like his deceptive efforts in the lead up to the Iraq war, the Vice President appears to be manipulating intelligence to conform to his beliefs.

If the reports are true, they add additional weight to the case for impeachment. I believe impeachment remains the only tool Congress has to prevent a war in Iran. This information relates directly to the Article III charges in the resolution. I urge your timely consideration.

Sincerely,
/s/
Dennis J. Kucinich
Member of Congress

Webb was sounding VERY alarmed about * and Iran and the maniplulation AGAIN about * striking them.

Webb Voices Concern about Provocative Rhetoric with Respect to U.S. Military Action in Iran

http://webb.senate.gov/

Washington, DC -

Senator Jim Webb along with 29 co-signers, this week, sent a letter to the White House to express concern about the administration's escalating rhetoric and unilateral sanctions against Iran-and how both underscore the need for his Iran
bill, which prohibits the use of funds for U.S. military operations in Iran without the explicit consent of the Congress.
The letter also expressed that the administration's recent terrorism-related designations and the passage of a recent
sense of the Senate on Iran should not be a predicate for the use of force.

9. Correction: Among the first to know; the very last to report.
Why is it that when I want to find out what's happening in my own country I have to turn to sources of information published in or distributed from any country but the US?

And that's a rhetorical question, btw, since I really don't expect a General Electric subsidiary to suddenly develop an urge to afflict the comfortable and do some actual news gathering and reporting that might cast our masters in an unfavorable light.
