Lieberman thinks we are the "hyper-partisan, politically paranoid liberal base"

Lieberman hits out at 'paranoid' Democrats

By Edward Luce in Washington

Published: November 9 2007 02:00 | Last updated: November 9 2007 02:00

The 2008 Democratic candidates are beholden to a "hyper-partisan, politically paranoid" liberal base that could endanger the final nominee's chances of winning next year's presidential election, Joe Lieberman, the former vice-presidential Democratic candidate, said yesterday.

In his most outspoken attack on fellow Democrats since he was unsuccessfully challenged last year by Ned Lamont, a liberal Democrat, for his Senate seat in Connecticut, Mr Lieberman yesterday said he might not vote for the Democratic presidential nominee next year.

1. I think Joe Lieberman's a pandering, hypocritical piece of shit
who would sell out to the Republican Party in an instant.

What do I win?

5. Lieberman is just mad because he took the wrong side on everything
Edited on Sat Nov-10-07 11:45 AM by Quixote1818
Every stance he has taken lately has turned against him and now he finds himself stuck with the 25% of nut cases who support the war. He was wrong on EVERYTHING!!! All he can do now is cozy up to Sean Hannity and the far, far, far right. And he thinks we have problems?

9. Let me get this straight:

Liberman says the liberal base could endanger the "nominees chances of winning next year" and then says "He might not vote for the Democratic presidential nominee next year." Ummmmm okay. So We endanger the election by coming up with a candidate who best reflects Democratic principles, and the specific way that we endanger the election is by losing His vote.

Congratulations Joe - You just won the 2007 Zell Miller Award.

In his most outspoken attack on fellow Democrats....

For the millionth time, Lieberman is not a Democrat. Sure, he caucuses with them, but he's a warmongering, neocon-loving Bush appeaser who ran as and calls himself an Independent, thus denying the people of Connecticut a senator who is an actual, real-live Democrat. Just because he's identified as a Democrat on his appearances on Faux News (where he shows up as their go-to guy who seems to support Bush's disastrous foreign policy no matter what) doesn't mean he actually is one.

</rant>

Edited for clarity.

15. It is called "freedom of speech" Joe and it is what America is based on.
And just because you have been proven wrong on Iraq does not mean
we do not have the right to point it out.
