7. They've completely forgotten how to be a majority
and seem to think they still need to roll over and get their tummies scratched by the Big Daddy in the White House.

A few of them have even forgotten what party they're in.

Edited on Sat Nov-10-07 12:23 PM by patrice
There are either things they don't want us to know about how each of their decisions are made or they think we are too stupid to understand.

They never say, "This is how I voted and here is how I arrived at this decision: . . . ."

22. They need to educate themselves on energy issues
I expect that they would get *close* to a solution to the oil shortage and global warming if they just learned what energy units are. BTUs to heat a house. Power in watts, and energy in Joules.

23. Progressives who attack their own party because they're scared shitless of Republicans.
Edited on Sat Nov-10-07 01:10 PM by Perry Logan
If "progressives" are so great, let's see them strike a blow--one blow, guys, ANY blow!--against the big bad Republicans instead of spending all their time bashing the Democratic leadership.

I think they do that because they're too scared to face the real enemy.

30. How about the Democratic "leadership" starts acting like an opposition party.
Maybe if they acted and voted like Democrats instead of corporatist, DLC, Bush enabling, Bluedog, mamby pamby, Repuke Lite (R) (TM) we wouldn't have to bash them.

37. That's it in a nutshell!
Can you imagine if we'd've had those spineless congress critters in 1974? Nixon would've finished out his second term, and we would've probably gotten 8 years of President Agnew after that!

:wow:

28. Town Hall meetings replaced by marketing "up-the-ass" bullshit-
Hey, thanks for asking...

Here's the latest one from that good ole Republican foot soldier in the 18th congressional PA, Tim Murphy

(telephone rings)

Me: (seeing "Tim Murphy, US Congress" caller ID) "Hello...... hello.............. please speak up, I know it's you, Tim"

(after long pause) "Hello, this is congressman Tim Murphy. Sorry I missed inviting you to the latest town hall meeting" You can contact my office or go online at (blah, blah, blah...)

Me: (speaking to no one) "That's it. This is the THIRD time you have done this to me" (hang up, call office, get message, leave my message, day later someone calls back with message, I call again, no one gets back with me)

I'm betting the he runs his office using a good ole Republican model of ineffective communications, compounded with young, something year olds taking messages.
