I expect that they would get *close* to a solution to the oil shortage and global warming if they just learned what energy units are. BTUs to heat a house. Power in watts, and energy in Joules.

(after long pause) "Hello, this is congressman Tim Murphy. Sorry I missed inviting you to the latest town hall meeting" You can contact my office or go online at (blah, blah, blah...)

Me: (speaking to no one) "That's it. This is the THIRD time you have done this to me" (hang up, call office, get message, leave my message, day later someone calls back with message, I call again, no one gets back with me)

I'm betting the he runs his office using a good ole Republican model of ineffective communications, compounded with young, something year olds taking messages.
