Day One after the event, he came out loaded for bear! Growling at the Feds and Military, DEMANDING to know if that was one of their crafts and what was it doing parked over the largest metropolitan area in his state. He really came out swinging and I was amazed at his passion.

The event was seen (and filmed) by too many very credible witnesses from too many angles not to be taken seriously. Fife did that... at first.

Then came the mockery, complete with his chief of staff dressed in and alien costume that looked to have come off a Twilight Zone set (To Serve Man episode, to be specific). THAT'S when Fife went silly and tried to blow his earlier response off and make light of the whole incident.

Remember, he was facing federal charges at the time. If anyone can fine the video, you see a VERY fearful Fife trying to play the part of Jokester Gov. Somebody big got to him.

As I recall, he was convicted but did not face the highest sentence he could have been given. He got a cushie deal for his crimes. Payoff? Oh, just try and convince me otherwise.

Fife was furious and demanded the feds fess up about the UFO before someone called him to discuss his legal problems at the time... THEN he made a mockery of it all. It was the performance of his life, and he WAS performing FOR his life.

I like that he has come out now on it ... a nice surprise --

Identical to the video and eyewitness reports. I've wathed them naked eye, and with high power binoculars. I know what the Phoenix sky looks like that time of night at that time of year. I have spent thousands of hours observing asttronomical phenomena and aircraft. Other witnesses, who were able to observe the evnts with optical aid (telescopes and binoculars) saw multiple aircraft.

One was the lights that are often shown on videos and the other was the huge craft that came down from northern AZ at a very slow speed with hundreds of witnesses along it's path of travel. There has not been a reasonable explanation for either event.

This was identified by an amateur astronomer who observed them as a group fixed wing aircraft through a telescope (this is also mentioned in the article I posted).

Against a dark sky, a group of aircraft in formation can look like a single large aircraft. It also explains why some witnesses reported that the "craft" changed shape while being observed.

These craft are huge -- you can see the geometry behind them ---
and it has nothing to do with any of the ridiculous explanations that officials have thrown in.

None of the video I've seen shows any geometry behind it. And I've seen a lot, if not all of it. I lived there then, the TV stations (especially Fox-10) showed this stuff a zillion times. Where are these "films"?

there were two seperate sightings. You either do not know what aircrft released flares look like (exactly like the videos), or you probably saw the formation. There's a big difference between what you can see at night with the naked eye and waht can be resolved with a 13-inch telescope.

Fife was a an extreme right wing corrupt republican governor. Probably one of the most corrupt in the country at the time (even by Bush standards). His career was going down in flames and he's just been pandering to whichever way the wing blows. The story of his conviction, appeal and pardon are even more amusing.

the witnesses reported that the object that flew over made no sound. There is no way a bunch of small aircraft could fly over silently.

LOTS of them in professions that require high levels of training, especially in observation and critical thinking saw and reported that that object was huge and made no sound, along with moving slower than fixed wing craft we know about could fly.

Fife came out demanding any info the military and federal government had. Then, he came out with his tail between his legs and made nice, like somebody told him to.

Seems ol Fife has a conscience after all. (who knew?;) ) Now that his trial is over and sentence is served, he seems to be back to his original position. Something BIG and unknown flew over the Valley of the Sun that night and the truth is still being hidden.
