There's a better way to fight the "war on terror"...
It's a given , we cannot ever win a war on "terror". We cannot put Christian soldiers in the middle of Muslim countries and expect them to receive us with open arms. We will have soldiers dying there so long as we are there, no matter if it is a hundred years from now.

One thing is for sure, no one could do a worse job fighting this "war on terror" than George W Bush and the neo-cons. They have screwed up every which way from Sunday. A person on the street would have done a better job.

We should call for a change in the way we are fighting this war. Democrats should not be fearful of saying there is a better way. What way would that be?

First of all, we work with our allies around the world and we make new allies to prevent these "terrorist groups" from forming in the first place. There is technology that could be used to catch these folks. We have the means to take away their financial sources. We can offer incentives to other nations to help us in this "war".

It is not somthing that Americans should give up their freedoms for - it is irrational to think those folks are going to "invade" America. We will remain vigilant and improve our border security and demand that airlines do a better job in screening their passengers, without old folks taking off their shoes and making every trip a hassle and worse. We need to use our intelligence, rather than our hammers, where everything looks like a nail.

1. It seems so simple, doesn't it?
you would think a simpleton like BushCo would be able to figure it out. All the more reason to believe that they want this chaos, because it makes millions for his cronies. And that is another simple truth.

2. Exactly what Kerry was saying back in '04 and look what happened
America doesn't want to do this in any logical meaningful manner. They want "their side" to do it, right or wrong and their fingers are firmly in their ears while they sing na na na na na na

3. There is a time and place for everything...
Perhaps this is now the time for the Democrats to speak up as a Party - not as one or two individuals.
