"FUX & Friends" anchor fired by FUX, hired by CNN next day

Kiran Chetry, co-host of FUX & Friends morning show, was canned by FUX on February 15, 2007 and was hired as a substitute co-host for CNN'as morning show on February 16. Pretty darned quick.

'What the hell?" was what I said this morning when I saw she was on CNN.... I remember her as a hardcore Repub and really in her element over there on FUX, yukking it up and spewing the RW banter along with her co-hosts. This morning (filling in for Soledad O'Brien) she looked ill at ease... and (this was funny) CNN had her say their equivalent slogan to "fair and balanced" before going to break: "CNN, the most trusted name in news". :rofl:

She's married to a FUX weather guy and writer, Chris Knowles.

and FUX wouldn't match their offer and terms she requested... they have a history of smashing their employees on the kneecaps (figuratively speaking). They fired E.D. Hill out of the blue a while back... she was their original FUX & Friends morning gal. I wonder what the heck she did?

ON EDIT: I was wrong- she was given a show in a different time slot. I really have to watch FUX more often....

I didn't know that. I never watch that morning Romper Room on Faux.

They gave E.D. another gig...her own show...midday...she is still with Faux

That about sums up the entire management team at Murdoch's News Corp.

It's clear that Fox wanted her to stay. Her agent apparently worked on a deal with CNN without letting Fox make a counter offer.

This could be a case of the rat abandoning the sinking ship or Chetry may have always had her eye on CNN. Who knows.

Fox just comes across as a bunch of assholes. But, that goes in stride with their on-screen corporate personality, so maybe this is what they want.

It's a terse letter, and very abrupt. But it is typical and highly professional.

Fox News is pure shit, but let's not lose all perspective.

Not knowing anything about the circumstances, I'm not so quick to defend it.

The difference between a conveying a rotten tone and being unprofessional is pretty significant.

Some, including most professionals I've known, would consider conveying a rotten tone unprofessional, regardless of the circumstances.

Guess it's all subjective, and certainly not worth arguing over.

Do you always act like a dick when someone disagrees with you?

He made it quite clear that he was perfectly sick and angry at what CNN had become, and this was before cnn had gotten so deeply into their wingy extremist lurch, or surge.

Even though they did not castrate him and clip his wings off when they showed him the door at cnn, even left him a rich man, it is still clear he is heartbreakingly emotional about the destruction of something that started out pretty well and that he was quite proud of.
