All the support for the writers strike has been awesome.. These truly are a group of people who have been wronged and deserve this nations daily media attention..

However, could those of us on the lower socio-economic spectrum have a bit of time? I know I dont write stories so that you know who killed JR, and I dont work on the set of the Titanic so that you can watch a piano shift from state left to state right.. But I do work hard too!....

I work in retail, and while I fully support the rights of the writers, the stage hands, the auto workers, the pilots, and so on and so forth.. I do wish someone would remember us..

Outside of M-F 9-5 we are the ones working so you can buy whatever crap you want.. it would be AWESOME if someone would remember us for a change.

1. I know all about working in retail
I did it for five years. :scared:

I don't envy you one bit. Particularly at this time of year. Low pay, lots of BS to put up with and absolutely thankless.

Best wishes to you and all retail workers. :pals:

4. Yes, we do need a union.
I'm a substitute teacher.
We make minimal pay and have no benefits, whatsoever.
Teacher's unions? Forget it!

My son works in retail.
There is no union for him, either.

After watching 'Sicko' last Saturday night, I became acutely
aware of how much money, specifically lack of it and debt,
keeps people down. Poverty has its own shackles.

Imagine if all of us who are not represented, were
and could go on strike?
