Who would you rather see as Senate Majority Leader, Speaker of the House and House Majority Leader?
My personal preferences would be Durbin or Feingold as Senate Majority Leader, Sheila Jackson-Lee as Speaker of the House, and Louise Slaughter or Barney Frank as House Majority Leader.

2. Two Different Versions
Well my dream would be Bernie Sanders Senate Majority Leader, Kucinich Speaker of the House, and Barbara Lee House Majority Leader (or reverse these two).

More realistically I'd say Barbara Boxer Senate Majority Leader, Maxine Waters House Majority Leader, and Jim McDermott Speaker of the House.

4. After watchng her a few minutes ago -
Sheila Jackson Lee for Madam Speaker and John Kerry as Majority Leader. Only because Kerry gets scary when he gets angry, and he gets mad and yells a lot, and Feingold doesn't. I think he would keep those idiots in line a lot better. Russ doesn't seem to be part of the clique.

19. Kerry does get angry and gives incredible speeches when he does
but he never ever yells. That is why he can be so effective in debates - he just gets cooler and more focused when he gets angry.

6. Senate Majority Leader: FEINGOLD
Speaker of the House: Kucinich
House Majority Leader: Barney Frank, or if we have that guy in NH or VT that's the semi-socialist true progressive, I forget his name.

to be Senate Majority Leader. He seems to be really laboring when he speaks sometimes.

12. I like Robert Byrd too! If he were Senate
Majority Leader than Kucinich would have to be Speaker in the House. They could both whip out their pocket Constitutions and wave their hands and yell! I would love to see that.

15. No. Robert Byrd is too old and too frail
and he's neither a liberal or progressive.

22. It depends.
If I get a Kucinich/Boxer administration, then I could go with Feingold and Jackson Lee.

If not, I'd like Boxer as Senate Majority Leader, Kucinich as Speaker, and Jackson Lee as House majority leader.

32. He Has at Least One Protege in Mind...
... and key staffers would come with the Chair/gavel as a pre-condition.

As Speaker, he could use the Committee of the Whole to elevate key oversight functions, too.

24. I was going to be rude until I read your o.p.
I was going to answer the headline question, "I want a Dem in those positions who don't criticize other Dems."

But, when I saw your choices, I fell in love.

26. Interesting choices all, but the reason none of them are in there now
is that the leadership positions tend to go to the kind of nerdy "vote counter" types. You can see that in both parties.

Durbin for Senate Leader, Feingold for Whip. Boxer to a key committee chair. Byrd gets to stay President pro tempore by tradition. Sanders gets moved up -- even though he is only a "Caucus Democrat."

But remember, Louise has a thick Kentucky accent, so she may be ridiculed as part of the antisouthern bashing some engage in here.
