Founder of The Weather Channel thinks global warming is a scam
John Coleman, KUSI weatherman and founder of The Weather Channel, has declared global warming a charade. In a piece he first posted last Thursday on the anti-global-warming website Icecap.us, and later in revised form on KUSI’s website, Coleman declared global warming to be “a non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam.”

8. He made me mad when:
- Towards the end of March he shouted with glee, "NO! MORE! RAIN!" even though we only got half of the normal rainfall this past winter - meaning water shortages, bone-dry fire-prone hillsides, etc. All he could think of was that the rainy days had stopped.

- In late August, he said, "Some people think we're having a heat wave." The next day it was 103 at my house with so much humidity it felt like a steambath. He still seemed to deny there was a heatwave anytime in August.

And in January he seemed to think that 25 degrees was no big deal, even though it killed a portion of the avocado crop. Add in all his antics such as "k-YOU!-s-i" and "the breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze!" and the way he jumps out of his chair at the end of the Friday night newscast, and I don't see how anyone can really take him seriously anyway.

15. Hey you.. how can you say things like that
Don't you enjoy Dr. Marie's hardhitting weather specials where she tells us all about sunscreen ..for TWENTY minutes, and then tells us the "mini-documentary" was produced by ........a sunscreen company ..

That's hard hitting weather stuff.. She also worked very hard on the flea and tick report

32. I love it when they tell me it's raining where I live, and the sun is shining.
Or they tell me it's gonna snow, and it doesn't.

Anyone can make a mistake, but if they say right, I say go waaaay left!!!!!

They just suck. Even their little documentaries just ... SUCK!

3. Thanks for joining the "I have no idea what I'm talking about club." Mr Coleman
But, if it's a choice between taking the side of a former weather man who founded a TV network or taking the side of thousands of scientists...
I'll take the scientists side

Thanks, and
You're the first person to comment on it at all. I created it at the size you see, with the intent of using it as a sig line pic, so there is no larger version of it, only that size. You are welcome to copy it and use it however you want.

17. I noticed it earlier.
It's a very clear and sharp picture and Bush has that blank look on his face. I wonder about the foot markings on the doorway though. It's not like there's little children to measure at the WH as they grow up.

I looked at the door and they had the 4 - 5 - 6 markings and the idea just popped into my head. I know, Taco Bell, but I like their beans.

25. My first thought was 7/11...
and seeing Bush in one of those grainy security camera pictures on the news.

"The suspect was a white male, approximately six feet tall, with a smirk on his weasel-like face. The convenience store has provided us with this photo."

Uh-huh. The Weather Channel's been up and running for Twenty-Five years, he ran it for One. It's all the fault of those "bad guys", so he'll just badmouth their current favorite topic: REALITY!

How can someone even think that by putting in large amounts of Unnatural chemicals into the environment that there will not be an effect? If there is not an effect, then it should be safe to drink a teaspoon of Bleach and not have your body react to it.

40. Can anyone explain how the supposed scam works - in a nutshell?
I can't fathom how, as a scam, it's supposed to accomplish anything.

Scams have a goal - of taking my money. Green practices SAVE me money, and would have been considered ordinary prudent thrift 50 or 60 years ago before consume! consume! consume! became the American mantra.

Developing energy efficient technology SAVES businesses money, and that's good for the bottom line, no?

I'm just not getting it.
