POKIN AROUND: A real person, a real death

I apologize if this has already been posted. I did search, but nothing came up.

A MySpace prank gone awry:

His name was Josh Evans. He was 16 years old. And he was hot.

"Mom! Mom! Mom! Look at him!" Tina Meier recalls her daughter saying.

Josh had contacted Megan Meier through her MySpace page and wanted to be added as a friend.Yes, he's cute, Tina Meier told her daughter. "Do you know who he is?"

How utterly cruel that this was perpetrated by adults! These people should be in prison, just on general principle!

Reckless something. Negligence? Mischief? Fraudulent and abusive conduct, resulting in physical harm (even though the death was not the intended result). Aggravated by the fact that these were adults TARGETING a 13 year old?

12. I think a pretty good case could be made in civil court.

Especially since the offending "parents" KNEW the girl was battling depression.

And what's with the paper not releasing the offender's names? A police report has been filed - it's public record now.

10. The axe and sledgehammer would not have been used on the fooseball table.....

...I would have found a better use for both.

I have a deaf, learning disabled daughter, and if this was done to her, I'd end up in prison......

Psychologically torturing an emotionally fragile girl during the most painful and difficult years of even a "normal" person's life.... words cannot express how EVIL these people are. They themselves apparently never got out of the school bully stage.
