Any info on events in Venezuela?

Any info on events in Venezuela?
My son is there on business and he is planning on skipping town Thursday ahead of elections Friday. He's called to ask several times what coverage this is getting in the US. He is very concerned and reports security people patrolling with Kalashnikovs.

1. It is a disaster, all is lost!
Team Canada warded off a late rally Tuesday, to double Venezuela 6-3 at the International Baseball Federation World Cup in Taipei, Taiwan.

3. I wouldn't worry except that Team Bush is still in the playoffs.
My Dad happened to be in Chile during some disturbances there some years ago. He was taking a pleasant stroll around town after work and turned a corner to be faced with busloads of riot police. He spent the rest of the trip at the plant or at the hotel. I don't think that was when Allende was overthrown, but it was close to that time.

4. Always learn how to read the words "The People" in the native language
all revolutions use "the people" in the signs. Also learn how to say "Don't take me I'm Canadian." No one wants Canadian hostages.
