Watching the Iraq War Vote--Deja vu all over again--We're being snookered again.
Is a law really a law if the provision of the law are non-binding?

To illustrate: "We're erecting a stop sign at the end of the street, but are telling you that it's non-binding...it's just a suggestion that you stop. It's our GOAL that you stop, but if you don't stop, you can't be ticketed for running a stop sign."

That's what this Iraq War bill is. Even if it's signed into "law" the administration is not bound by the "timeline." So, what's the point? The point is to throw a bone to the anti-war folk to make it LOOK like the Democratic leadership is actually showing some backbone.

I'm sick of this shit. Either have the cajones to defund the war, or pass a BINDING timeline, or go ahead and write another fucking blank check and call it a blank check, because that's what you are passing tonight, Congress.

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH! :banghead:

4. What can we do about it?
Elect "new" Democrats? The current crop made lots of pretty promises, and I am tired of broken promises....

And who exactly do these Dems believe they are representing? Because it ain't Democrats....
