A Call for Leadership Change

America has been hit hard by a new order, decades in the making, but foisted upon us in "shock and awe" fashion. Planes into buildings has produced outlaw government by neoconservatives waiting in the wing that have broken our laws and crippled our checks and balances. Our constitution has been shredded and Bill of Rights neutered. A geopolitical war launched for global hegemony under the guise of a lie of protecting us from attack by terrorist ghosts has destroyed reason. We have gulags and renditions and torture, the tools of tyrants and of despotic rule. We have an economy ripped through by a suicidal debt and weak dollar with a form of crony capitalism called privatization disguised as a free market and full of false promises. We have been given the sedatives of fluttering flags and nationalistic speech combined with rewritten history and rationalizations based on myths of exceptionalism and anchored by divine approval through the dominant religion. Radicalism has been made the norm or the natural order of things while the democracy that preceded it has been made radical or foreign.

The time has come to demand the return of the rule of law, our governmental checks and balances, and our constitution. The time has come for us to demand a change in leadership if they can't deliver to us that which was taken away from us. We are currently riding a beast that will turn on us. If we do not act, Nemesis, the goddess of retributive justice awaits us all.

In a few short words, you have described our national nightmare. I would only say that I think the beast has turned on us already!

Will you submit this as a LTTE?

Don't know if I will submit it as a LTTE. I usually spend my time rebuking dishonest op eds when doing LTTE's. I don't know if the paper will consider this rant relevant.
