Patrick McHenry (R-NC)...HOLY COW!
And this is from The North Carolina CONSERVATIVE website.

"The North Carolina Conservative first reported last week that Congressman Patrick McHenry had ties to persons involved in a double murder/suicide in Florida. Sources told us that one of the men killed was Ralph Gonzalez, a gay Republican political consultant, an associate of McHenry who “helped on his campaign.” The same source told us that the shooter, Robert Drake who is reportedly connected with a gay escort service and another murder in Virginia, was “tight with McHenry and ran elections for him.” McHenry’s office has reportedly admitted that the congressman had an unspecified relationship with Drake."

<snip>

According to reporter/blogger/pundit: Howie Klein:

"As we mentioned yesterday, Drake, a former marine, also is alleged to have a strong relationship-- both intimate and business/political-- with right-wing Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC). When I spoke to McHenry's office about this they at first insisted they never heard of Drake then, confronted with specifics, admitted they know him. They refused to put Congressman McHenry on the phone. There is every indication that McHenry may have been one of the Republican elected officials who was using the services of the gay prostitution agency connected to Drake. Our pals over at the BradBlog points out the connections between Florida's ultra-corrupt, vote-tampering congressman, Tom Feeney, and Gonzalez and reports the threat to expose the list of Republican elected officials who were using the gay escort service." http://downwithtyranny.blogspot.com/2007/09/dont-think-larry-craigs-resignation-is.html

<snip>

"As the old saying goes, “you are judged by the company you keep.” Patrick McHenry has been keeping some very strange company indeed. Perhaps it is time that he come home before a major scandal develops that could embarrass the 10th District of North Carolina and damage the Republican Party."

jeez, that was an easy choice. (pls note, I am not calling his sexual preferences as disgusting, but rather his politics)

Meet Pat’s friend, Scott, who harasses women, bilks seniors
By Drama Queen

According to the Washington DC Recorder of Deeds, (you must register to search), from 2/27/2001 to 1/9/2002, Patrick T McHenry co-owned a residence in Washington DC with Scott G Stewart, pictured below right, former chair of the College Republication National Committee 1999-2003.

There are dozens of links to a variety of articles about three women who filed charges of sexual harassment (and misappropriation of funds) against Scott in January 2001, a month before Pat and he bought that DC home together.

The investigation was delayed for months but eventually the RNC demanded that Stewart apologize. Yeah, that’ll do it.

Then, as chair of the CRNC, Stewart presided over the most despicable tactics against seniors (in their 80s and 90s) to raise money (at least $6.3 million). And the worst of it: the bulk (90 percent) of the bilked funds went to the vendor or expenses.

I suspect this goon thinks he's too smart for the room and will screw up...if he hasn't already.

31. More....
I posted this in Sept.

Of course all of this needs corroboration.

.....The murdered gay Republicans include Ralph Reed's purported ex-lover, Ralph Gonzalez (former head of the rabidly homophobic Georgia Republican Party), David Abrami and McHenry guy-pal Robert Drake, the shooter. All three were found last week in a murder-suicide in an Orlando apartment. According to right-wing website, the North Carolina Conservative "All three men were active in Republican politics." They mention that Drake is "an associate" of McHenry's but don't define that. He is alleged to be an associate of quite a few younger men, some of whom are gay and some of whom are just gay-for-pay. (Note: The websites in this GOP report are graphic, pornographic gay prostitute sites and if you don't want to see that kind of stuff DO NOT copy and paste the links. They are purposely not in the form of links.)

Gonzalez was an influential political consultant, who owned Strategum Group, and managed Congressman Tom Feeny’s 2002 campaign. The house was owned by Gonzalez; Abrami lived with Gonzalez. Newspapers and political websites have been abuzz with posts from friends and associates of Gonzalez, who speculate the motive for the murder-suicide as being a gay love triangle gone wrong.

...Another, more sinister motive has been put forth by several sources, including CrimeBlog.us. Reporters there say that Drake was associated with the owner of a gay escort service in the Virginia Beach area. The owners of that escort service are facing charges that they murdered the owner of a rival company catering to the gay community. A source for the Crime Blog reporter states:

“My solid, but unconfirmed, sources say that Drake was trying to hit Gonzalez up for cash to raise money to defend a kid (Harlow Cuadra) who is on trial for murder up in Pennsylvania. The 26 year old “kid” ran a gay escort and porn business in Virginia Beach and may have had several Republican clients–Drake being one. (See www.norfolkmaleescorts.com and www.boybatter.com ). . . My sources say Drake may have approached Gonzalez for funds for Cuadra’s defense, threatening to blow the lid off everything by MAKING THE REPUBLICAN CLIENT LIST OF THE GAY ESCORT BUSINESS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE.”

when anti-gay republicans (just assuming McHenry's voting record will indicate he is) get "caught" being gay?

And I can't fathom how anyone who is gay could be a republican, moreso than any other minority group. It's not like being anti-woman or anti-black are cornerstones (explicitly anyway) of the republican platform like it is with gays. How can you align yourself with a party that openly views you as a lesser person?

53. Tom Feeney's name sure is coming up a lot, lately.
Edited on Fri Nov-16-07 12:18 AM by leveymg
The WaPo reported day before yesterday that Feeney has engaged the services of a forensic evidence firm in preparation for a possible indictment in the Abramoff case, which appears to be still very much alive.

Feeney, if you will remember, was one of the guys who went golfing in Scotland with Jack Abramoff and Tom Delay and Bob Ney. He's also been the beneficiary, along with a number of other GOP Congressmen, including Hastert and Weldon, of part of a $300,000 plus warchest from troubled defense contractor, Unisys, which received $1 billion DHS contract and proceeded to botch the job so badly it was forced to refund much of its fees. This Florida Congressman, who was Jeb Bush's 1994 Gubinatorial running mate, also enjoyed the largesse of several of the largest telco PACS, along with various defense contractors and Greenberg Traurig, Jack Abramoff's old lobbying shop. See, http://www3.capwiz.com/msnbc/bio/fec/?id=2542&cycle=2005-2006

Feeney, is also implicated in electronic vote rigging in Florida. Now he's touched by the the gay hooker murder case. This guy's got everything going for him, doesn't he?

Edited on Fri Nov-16-07 02:19 AM by countmyvote4real
I don’t care to know or expose his connections to the Florida murder/suicide. However, the alleged and verified (for me) gay connection does make me wonder about his voting record in regards to the gay community. He may vote their way (if that is even their way), but he doesn't seem to think those anti-gay policies apply to him or his gay friends.

And if you put that aside, you’re still left with more reasons (his record) that demonstrate why he does not represent the values of his district.

It is just plain unnatural for grown men to take so much fuss and bother over hom*s*xuals (delicacy does not permit me to type the word out in full, fearing that the mere mention of it might frighten the horses in the streets).

One is frightened to take the children to see the festive sites of Washington, for fear that they might be exposed to such depravity in the fleshpots of that modern day Sodom on the Potomac. Yes, they must be taken to Key West and Ft. Lauderdale, NYC and the Near North Side of Chicago where they will be safe from the Republican Vice.

And a former Young Republican! Say it ain't so! Why, next thing you know these Young Republicans will be groping their charges in their nightshirts! Sending tearful emails and instant messages to pages! Woe to the GOP! Why, someone might think that there is something amiss in the moral fiber of the party these days. But, since they to a man or woman vote to deny the h*m*s*xuals their "special rights" to "special rites," we reckon that this all must be a mere misunderatanding. Let us hope it was just "youthful wrestling and horseplay."

Do I need a sarcasm tag?

62. It would be perfect if this crap hit the fan ...
during the GOP convention.

There sure seem to be an awful lot of male prostitutes hanging around with Republicans. Me thinks the Jeff Gannon story needs to be dusted off and delved into a little deeper. Perhaps a congressional investigation is in order.
