Reading Tea Leaves in a Hash House? Mark Penn Says Clinton Has 360 Electoral Votes
Edited on Thu Nov-15-07 07:01 PM by CorpGovActivist
***************************************

"In fact, if the election were held tomorrow, Hillary would win 360 electoral votes compared with 178 electoral votes for Rudy Giuliani," Clinton chief strategist Mark Penn wrote in a campaign memo.

Careful where you're reading those internal polls, Mr. Penn.

11. If Mr. Penn Passed the QRR at Harvard...
... I'd be very surprised.

That test - the bane of many a humanities student - forced a minimal understanding of bell curves, standard deviations, and outlier data point analysis on every frosh.

It's old math, best done in a clear room with plenty of ventilation.

5. He's probably right based on state polls I've seen.
But that doesn't mean that the others wouldn't win by an even larger margin.

6. That's 110 More Than Kerry
There has been no re-apportionment, unless I slept through a Census.

Which combination of 110 Electoral College votes do you see flipping from 04?

13. Internal Polling Does Not Consist...
... of polling those inside the campaign, asking them their hometowns, and assigning those states' Electoral College votes to your candidate.

15. RIDICULOUS! We are just under a YEAR OUT...
Anyone who thinks they can predict the future that well is an idiot. Try again when we are 3 weeks out and we know who the general election candidates are, have seen them face off in a debate and the American people are ACTUALLY paying attention.

19. Well they have BushInc in their corner so they have the optimism of the player
who knows the rigging will favor them.

The Clintons have already proven their cooperation and worth to the DC powerstructure.

BushInc couldn't have survived the 90s without it.
