Clinton/Biden will be the '08 Dem Candidates.
Sen. Clinton has made numerous statements complimenting Biden. Many think it will be Clinton/Clark. That is possible, also but not probable.

2. Biden's preemptively refused.
And besides, a northeastern liberal Senator would not pick a northeastern liberal Senator as a running mate.

13. Joe would go for it in about 3/10ths of a second
What, is this the first time you've ever seen Joe Biden?

You are very right about the double-northeastern Senator part, though actually Hillary is Chicage-Arkansas-DC-NewYork, so maybe Biden shouldn't even be considered. But if Hillary wins the nomination and she asks Joe to be on the ticket, let me reassure you that there is a 00.000000000000000001 chance that Joe would say no.

16. Joe has more clout as Senator with seniority on Foreign Relations. He's said as much
the other day. And the way he phrased it, he MEANT it. Not just the usual denial, IMO.

17. That's why it's .0000000000001 and not .0000000000000

I've watched Joe Biden my entire political life. He has coveted the top spot since he was six years old (I'm extrapolating back). If you think he wouldn't take the on-deck position in a micro-second, well, I envy your ability to take Joe at his word.

Joe would want to talk to Hillary about having a major foreign policy role as VP. Hillary would say of course, why do you think I chose you. And that would be that.

5. I've been thinking the same thing
I haven't seen anyone speculate on anyone better. I'd much rather see Biden than say someone unknown like Evan Bayh.

I thought maybe Wes Clark who I supported in 2004, but now it's probably Biden or maybe Dodd from the Presidential candidate group.

6. I still think it'll be Clinton/Clark

Biden just doesn't seem like the type to ride in the sidecar. Although, after tonight, I'm pulling for him as a candidate.

8. I don't think she'd pick him, not because she doesn't like him (I think she does), but
because of the whole seeming need for ticket "balance" - they're both senators representing states in the Northeast. I think she'll pick Richardson or Clark.

11. I would hate to see two Senators be our team.
They are both valuable in the Senate. And, the Senate presently needs all we can do for it.

12. Oh My!.. THere is still time for people to wake up and see Hillary for who she really is...
Her triangulating and strong backing from corporate interests pretty much sum her up.

18. Clinton is the onlly one of them that voted to declare Iranian Rev Guard distributors
of WMD which is a path to declaring war on them.

I think she may be toast.

She's certainly a warmonger.

19. The resolution is below - nothing about Iranian Rev Guard distributors of WMD
(1) that the manner in which the United States transitions and structures its military presence in Iraq will have critical long-term consequences for the future of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East, in particular with regard to the capability of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to pose a threat to the security of the region, the prospects for democracy for the people of the region, and the health of the global economy;
(2) that it is a critical national interest of the United States to prevent the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran from turning Shi'a militia extremists in Iraq into a Hezbollah-like force that could serve its interests inside Iraq, including by overwhelming, subverting, or co-opting institutions of the legitimate Government of Iraq;
(3) that the United States should designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a foreign terrorist organization under section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act and place the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps on the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists, as established under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and initiated under Executive Order 13224; and
(4) that the Department of the Treasury should act with all possible expediency to complete the listing of those entities targeted under United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1737 and 1747 adopted unanimously on December 23, 2006 and March 24, 2007, respectively.

20. Clinton/Edwards is also a possibility
I don't think the Clinton campaign is thinking along those lines, but I think John Edwards would be a good VP possibility also.

I'm not happy with the mud he's been throwing at Hillary, but Edwards supporters seem a good bit more mature than Obama supporters, and that's a pretty fair reflection of what seems to be the difference in the candidates they support.

So I guess I see three possibilities for a Clinton VP choice: Biden, Edwards, Dodd

I'd prefer any of those to someone unknown.

21. I really don't think Edwards is a possibility after 2004.
I think he conclusively proved then that he is not a draw as a VP.

24. I think you may be right on that
I think the Clinton campaign feels that way at least - Edwards wouldn't be attacking so much otherwise.

22. one thing the Clinton's understand is electoral politics and she's not dumb enough to pick someone
from the East to run with her. She has to go to the south or the Midwest or even the west. It won't be Biden, though he may be Sec of State.

23. Clinton / Webb is more like a classic ticket.
He is from the South, a former Republican, that has made a big splash. He has stood against the war and will balance her waffle pattern.
