George Clooney does right by the writers. Will the rest of Hollywood do the same?

George Clooney does right by the writers. Will the rest of Hollywood do the same?
Clooney gave $25,000 to the Writers' Guild of America strike fund.

If Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, America Ferreira and everybody else whose pulled in tons of money matched this donation, the writers would be able to face the producers and the networks down and get a decent share of the proceeds from DVD sales and downloads.

This would be a victory for all working people, since anything that weakens management's dominance is to the good of the rest of us.

Do the right thing, rich actors. And Jay Leno, if you're watching this, a check would go a lot farther than one freakin' box of donuts.

Any actor (sit-com, TV drama or film) or talk show host who doesn't realize that writers are equal partners in his/her career successes is too damned STUPID/ARROGANT (or both) to deserve ANY success at all.

4 cents out of a $20.00 DVD purchase. The networks and the producers say they can't afford THAT?
