Time rejected Rove as a columnist
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/11/20/time-rejected-rove-as-a-columnist/

Time rejected Rove as a columnist.

Radar reports that, prior to securing a spot as a Newsweek columnist, Karl Rove approached Time magazine for a job. Time, however, rejected Rove as “essentially like an unidicted coconspirator in a whole hose of felonies”:

Time’s editors apparently felt the cost/benefit analysis wouldn’t be in their favor if they embraced the man who has done more than anyone to keep the spirit of Joe McCarthy alive and well in American politics. … “They think Karl is essentially like an unindicted coconspirator in a whole string of felonies.”

:D

4. Whew
I can't believe Newsweek accepted him. I don't know what readership they're going after-- the 'crazy assholes,' maybe?

Just shows that Newsweek does not have any scruples.

7. "Newsweek" arrives at my office unasked for, and goes into the garbage in
the public restroom, where good republicans can fish it out while they are tapping their feet and conducting business.

11. That's exactly where it belongs
in the trash. People who read those "news" magazines invariably risk being misinformed. Worse than being uninformed, IMO.

9. I always have
favored Time over Newsweek, and now I have another good reason to continue that favoritism.

10. And today I rejected Newsweek as a news magazine.
And my rejection letter cited the fact that just because he wasn't charged with treason doesn't mean he isn't a traitor.

Who'dathunk that Time would reject him? :wow:
