Chris Dodd has called on the new Atty-General Mukasey to investigate former spokesman Scotty McClellan's charges today where he basically said he was requested to lie to the American people. Not only that, he said that the VP and the President were instrumental in creating the lie.
What will Mukasey do? Wonder what Schumer and Feinstein think he should do? Shold Mukasey investigate this? Or will the Democrats say it is getting too late in the term to impeach or to investigate or to find out the truth about anything? I would say to them, it is never too late for the truth or for justice.
when somebody actually starts to believe that it matters, then things may change? However, I will not hold my breath waiting for the new Atty-General to investigate this. But it is a serious charge... a very serious charge. They can continue to pretend it doesn't matter if they want...None of this stuff will be important until there is a Democrat sitting in the White House....then.
the transcripts of Fitzgerald's grand jury testimonies of the players involved. they are the only governmental body that can request these transcripts and have them granted. i thought of this when mukasey was voted in...he has the authority to release the transcripts. what will he do is the 64,000 dollar question. oh yes mukasey does`t have to investigate
this is why fitzgerald told the congress if they ask him he will tell them,he could`t do it without them asking first
...whether inadvertent or not IF Mukasey opens such an investigation, then Leahy or Conyers will not do so. Which of the three do you suppose offers the BEST chance for a complete cover up? Which arena provides the most secrecy?
Dodd may be simply doddering, but the ramifications can be dire.
