Putting aside our personal discomfort and distress should we be glad oil prices are rising?
One thing we have learned as a society is that behavior can be controlled by taking one's money.. That is why courts use fines instead of jail most of the time..It is urgent for the health of the world that we control usage of petroleum products. How else can we do that without using financial incentives?

is not a good thing.

3. Yes...you are right, however...
it should happen in unison with higher taxes on the oil companies, and a massive ramping up of public transportation and alternative energy for homes and so forth. With this idiot in office, it will only be a bad thing.
