Obermann yesterday said that Dems need to be asking "where did the money go"?
Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 10:37 AM by OregonBlue
He's right, and why the hell aren't we asking that every single day, in every single way, over and over and over and over. Where did the money go? What did the taxpayer get for the money? The corruption issue SHOULD be the single biggest issue in this campaign. Even Repukes hate being ripped off!!!!!!

It is an issue that will unite the country, so........ bring on the charts!

(...and Dems, don't drop this platter.)

4. When the pentagon is wanting to lay off thousands,
where exactly did thier money go?? How many billions are sunk into private contracters? Billions upon billions have been "lost". WTF is up with that?? Did blackwater employees get asked to pay back bonuses, like our troops are being asked to? Our troops are brought up on charges in court marshals, but blackwater is being "investigated" for cold-blooded murder. What the hell is wrong with this picture? IMHO a great deal of taxpayer money has streamed into the black hole that is private contracters. If I was a troop fighting for this admin I would be furious over the inequety in pay for private contracters vs. government.

7. The Dems don't do offense
Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 12:21 PM by senseandsensibility
And they don't do defense very well, either. They won't make a big deal of this. They have hundreds of good issues they could run on. They just need to pick one and run with it. What's so difficult? It's almost like they don't want to win.:-( I still rec'd this, though. I guess hope springs eternal.

14. Well, my guess is that they will; at least, I hope so, after
primary season. No need to give away our game before we have to. Gives them more time to prepare a defense, even though we know they do not have one. I do agree that dems are not on the offense nearly enough.

8. $840 BILLION DOLLARS.....
is what is being asked for this coming year. What does that buy? Where is that money going? IF the corporate media wasnt complicit, it would be the lead of every newscast.
The answer is CORRUPTION and CONTRACTORS.

12. Where did the money go?
Look in their pockets and their off-shore bank accounts. That's where the money went.

13. Duh!!!! Long ago. They keep losing the funding debate with bush
because they refuse to hold him to account for all the money that has been wasted thus far. Before they give him one more dime they need to hold a series of hearings to try to account for where the money they've already received went.

15. Where did the money go? The biggest transfer of wealth in history and nobody asks.
The money being piratized in the name of defense, intell, and homeland security. The complete lack of oversight as the banksters pulled another bigger and better scam on the taxpayers and the mutual fund investors and the pensioners. The wealth of this nation has been Enronized.

the collective results of the 2000 Florida fiasco (junta) were going to be published by journalists doing the independent counting of all those questionable ballots aka hanging chads, etc but we had ahem a unforseen attack.
