Just bumped into a republican at the grocery store

I was wearing my IMPEACH CHENEY hat, as I almost always do. Now that it is coat weather, my IMPEACH t-shirt isn't always showing. So I make sure to wear my hat.



So anyway, I had just walked in the door and was getting a cart when a guy breezed by me, grabbed a cart and said "Proud Republican coming through!"

I laughed. He froze. I guess he didn't expect me to laugh at his clever little comment. He stared at me and I said "Good for you! The Republicans need all the proud people they can find nowadays. I am sure you are a dwindling minority."

Then my kid glared at the guy and we walked off. Didn't even wish him a Happy Thanksgiving. I want to make sure he knows there is a war on ALL holidays. :)

There are still way too many proud Republicans here.

Americans are sick of being lied to by sex-deviant, treasury-pilfering, santamonius, Constitution-hating republicon homelanders.

I actually do get quite a few comments about my hat. :)

My response would've just let him know that he got my goat, which is what he wanted, becasue you obviously got his.

I stand on a street corner twice a week here and protest the war and the Bush administration. We get yelled at a lot. So I have had time to develop clever comebacks.

When they say "Go Bush!" we reply "You bet he needs to go! Straight to jail!"

When they say "Get a job!" we say "Educating YOU is my job!" On Sundays, we way "But it's the sabbath!"

When they say "Fuck you" we flash the peace sign. We also see that middle finger as half the peace sign.

One day, a woman walked up and said "My husband is stationed at Whitemen and he is a pilot in the air force and proud of his work!" (Whiteman is the home of the B1 bomber and is about 40 miles from here.) So one of the guys in our group said "So your husband gets up in the morning, flies halfway around the world, drops bombs, kills people, and is home in time for dinner. Yeah, I'd be proud of that too!"

She was so stunned she just stood there. Finally her friend pulled on her arm and she walked away.

Nobody ever even gets to talk to him anymore :(, I miss him but he is doing an enormous amount of work. I certainly hope they win this one and soon We could use him back on 2 of the boards I sit on with him. Absent but not forgotten.
