2. The rest of that page is pretty sick
"send your shopping photos" and " discuss full coverage of holiday retailing". Geez, remember the days when the holidays were about spending time with family and friends? (says she who had no one to spend the holidays with).

9. Less than $500.... more like $200
No small kids to buy for in the family and we're all feeling some pinch... I'll make some home made pralines for close friends and a donation on behalf of others, but I just can't see spending big $$ in this economy. Sorry, for those in retail, but I think it is going to be a bad year.

13. so far, $1.50
found a unicorn puppet at the thrift store for Mom.
-Little Brother got his gift already- a sizable pile of redwood burl.
-Stepfather will get the painting I promised, if someone gets me the photos I need.
-Sis-n-law gets something knitted.
-Hubby get hugs and love.
-Henrietta the chicken gets the usual: various bird food.
-I may actually buy my friend a book on how to draw ($13.00).

total possible expenses= under $20.

there is a part of me that feels badly for not giving more, but, as many know, paycheck to paycheck is a tough existence

my biggest gift is cooking for my family and those who have no where else to go
