Deadly blast in Iraq
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7108746.stm
<snip>
An bomb explosion has killed at least 13 people at a crowded market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

About 50 were hurt in the blast, which targeted the popular Ghazil pet market, held every Friday. The bomb was hidden in a box containing birds, police say.

3. In the last few days, I have started to hear the leaking of the meme...
"things are going better in Iraq....It has been quiet and uneventful in Bahgdad, the number of attacks has dropped signinficantly...etc..etc"

I said to myself...geesh, someone wants us all to think the surge is working well...and my very next thought was...

here comes the mayhem...

10. Violence may (or may NOT; one never knows what to believe ) be down in the past few weeks in Iraq.
That leads me to believe that the violence must be 'revived', because, let's face it : Chimpolini DOES NOT WANT THE OCCUPATION TO END.
Obviously, BFEE/Hunt Oil/ KBR/ haven't yet accomplished 'THEIR' objectives (complete plunder of resources), so things mustn't appear TOO stable or folks back home will begin screaming for redeployment of our troops.
Still no 'Mission Accomplished'...nor will it EVER be.
