How the Bush stole Christmas
Every American child,
really liked Christmas a lot.

But the Bush,
Who lived in the Whitehouse,
Did not!

The Bush hated Christmas,
The whole Christmas season,
Don't ask me why,
There is no real reason.

So he summoned his Veep
To come up with a plan,
We'll take out Saddam'
Then its on to Iran!

Staring down from the whitehouse,
With that now famous smirk,
He called in his staff,
And they got down to work!

Oh, Cheney was smilin'
His wish had come true'
So he sat back and pondered,
The evil he could do.

Rummy chimed in,
We'll attack on the cheap,
We'll bomb all of Bagdad,
While all are asleep!

They'll greet us with flowers,
They'll all kiss our feet!
We'll put in a leader,
After Saddam sees defeat.

Five years later,
We're still in Iraq,
Our soldiers are tired,
And they want to come back.

But something went wrong,
After five years of killing,
The Iraqis won't takeover,
And it seems they aren't willing!

Now, Bush is a lame duck,
His cronies are gone,
All have resigned,
And chose to move on.

The war is a farce,
Based on a lie,
Bush sits there laughing
"Who cares if they die!"

So now here we sit,
Victory out of reach,
There's only one solution,
We must now impeach!

Throw em in jail,
Let em sit there and rot.
Justice prevails!
They desereved what they got!

I could sit around and write a thousand verses to this poem, but the more I thought of, the sicker I got thinking of how this has all transpired. Do we need more atrocities to impeach these bastards? They have lied, committed treasonous acts, robbed us of rights afforded us in the constitution, and have refused to provide information to the very body set up to oversee their administraion of government. It's time to end this! No more!

Feel free to add your own verses!

3. Great stuff!

And the Bush made his plans and he started to shove
When he heard a small sound like the coo of a dove.
He turned around fast, and he heard some uproar
From some damned leftie types who just didn't love war!

The Bush had been caught, with the Blair overseas,
By some strong Democrats and some Labour MPs
And by lots of plain people who let out a cry,
"Why on earth do you want to drop all those bombs? WHY?"

But, you know, Bush and Blair were so smart and so slick
They thought up a lie, and they thought it up quick!
"Why, our dear leftie pals," these two criminals lied,
"Saddam has big weapons to use on OUR side!.
In 45 minutes he'd use them! Oh dear!
"So we'll fight them all there, so you won't have to here!."

5. The spirit of Dr. Seuss lives on!
Great poem, and thank you. Dr. Seuss had an earlier career as a political cartoonist during WWII. Here is one of my favorite cartoon of his, and one I use with my U.S. students:

6. K&R! Love it!
And I agree with your sentiments, get incredibly depressed sometimes about what has happened to this country. But your Seussian way of presenting it is as entertaining as the best "Daily Show." Thanks!:applause:
