Black Friday gotta be a great day for China

The Chinese must sit back and just laugh their asses off at the idiot Americans and their orgy of consumption on (jeez I hate this term) "Black Friday". We buy and they profit as we sink our balance of payments deeper and deeper.
Remember when the American had some native intelligence and he could tell when he was being hoodwinked?

Everyday they tell us that inflation is under control, wink, wink. Funny how they don't include the cost of food and energy in that calculation. I guess people don't need food and energy

They tell us that unemployment is at record low, wink, wink. Funny how those who haven't found a job in months, are not included in the calculation

They told us that Iraq had WMDs and were an immenient. Funny how the U.N. was saying just the opposite

I could go on, but your premise that American's had some native intelligence and could tell when they were being hoodwinked, is also not entirely correct:

Remember when it was OK to deprive people of their civil rights?
Remember segregation?
Remember Joe McCarthy?
Remember Viet Nam?
Have you ever hear the term the ugly American? That term did not come out of nowhere.

All I am saying is that Americans are no better or no worse than most other people.

Human nature is human nature, and it is when we rise above those negatives, that make us special.
