Tasers a form of torture, says UN

When torture is carried out in open public view, many people will accept, justify, and defend it because it's easier for them to do that than admit they are currently living in a country whose government supports summary torture of its citizens. Most importantly, they must deny that it is torture all together. It's something else, exactly what, they can not say.

I am not one of those people.

I recognize this Law Enforcement Industrial Complex for exactly what it is: A Police State.

How long before this wonderful new Taser "product" goes from military use to civilian use?

Why are they acceptable?

...that's like arguing a sneeze and the sexual orgasm feel the same.

They both could be described as having a build up of tension followed by an explosive release of pleasure.

But we all know that a sneeze and the orgasm are two completely different experiences.

It doesn't get much clearer than the 8th Amendment's 'cruel and unusual' clause. Guess that amendment was flushed down the toilet long ago with pain compliance, of which Tasers are only a part.
