1. Irony, but on the plus side:

All the FOX cable pundits who complain the media is out of control have far less relevance than my saying the same thing. (And while I'm not a puritan, I would never sink to even 1/10th the lows they go to in order to get ratings.)

Yes, I believe many citizens in the US are that willfully ignorant and some are just that stupid.

I don't usually watch the Simpsons, it's on at the same time as 60 Minutes here. But CBS had some interminable football game on, so I switched over to the Simpsons.

I have to admit that I was barely paying attention -- it was just on in the background while I was reading DU, I only started really focusing on it for the last few minutes.

I rushed here to post Lisa's line, and saw that someone else had started a similar post -- so here I am on your thread. Thanks for starting it.

I hope you will post more details than I am able to, I'd like to hear what I might have missed while I wasn't watching it closely.

dorm doing some numerical integrations and reading DU but there are certain parts that stick out with me. for example they mention that fox is funneling money into the republican party. and there is a great parody on the people who "hate liberals". they switch between raunchy sex fox shows and fox news with homer going instantly from "woohoo" to "i hate liberals" and features great statements such as "liberals hate families". rofl.

EDIT: with lisa providing commentary on the two-facedness of it all. how they are promoting family values with such "graphic nudity".
